  1. I use Evernote like a private wiki. It really works well on all devices and funktions like the webclipper are nice. I would recommend it.
  2. Well said! I don't think Baumann will leave anytime soon. But let’s see how this plays out.
  3. OK, thats true. I'm wearing the post-merger-glasses and for me (i think) it was a good entry point. But you're definitely right on the capital allocation-part. And i can understand all that anger. The price was way to high.
  4. I agree. Although i wouldn't consider Baumann a bad CEO. The shareholder communication is somewhat tricky because of the ongoing litigation and they don't want to talk a lot about their product-pipeline. What i can somewhat understand in this business. I would call it prudent. But they spend a whole lot of R&D. ($8,6 bn in 2020) I own it and added some in the dip, too. I like, that Baumann did the same: https://www.insider-alarm.de/bayer-insidertrades/ And thanks for the link. I didn't even knew about the business.
  5. Found a quite good write-up on bayer in my opinion. So i thought i share it here: https://requantify.substack.com/p/bayer-ag
  6. I'm very impressed, that he is still so hungry + an early adopter in this tech-stuff (exept crypto ? )!
  7. If i remember correctly, he sold the Insurance business to Francis Chou. He gives some color on that purchase in this talk:
  8. This community is pure gold! I really appreciate your comments. It helps a lot! I just ordered Skunk Works. @beerbaron: Ok, that is sounds like a good idea. First take the R&D @ face value and after some DD maybe mark it up or down. Plus have an eye on the industry norm. @Valuearb: That is an interesting fact, too. Never thought or read about that. Maybe that is one of the points Buffett likes consumer brands a lot, where you don’t have to think a lot about R&D costs...
  9. Thanks SD, thats exactly the stuff i wanna hear about. I just ask myself, lets say in healthcare, how much of the R&D-expenses really filling the pipeline for new products. Or how to anlayse and value R&D-costs better. And thanks for the link ratiman! Good post. FYI: Percentage of global research and development spending in 2018, by industry:
  10. Hey Guys, I am looking for good literature how R&D spending can impact the future performance of a company. Generally, or by different industries. Most of the stuff I am finding, is about macro-based spending and their impact. I am looking for any comments, papers, or studies on a micro-based spending and the "quality" of this. Thanks, Aurel
  11. You can do that from prison these days?? :-\ There is a note in his account, that says: "Account currently run by Mo & Reida, both of whom have access to ya boi. Posts do not represent views of the account owner unless specified. Not medical or investment advice."
