It seems like your moderation and truce could lead to the Frankfurt School, i.e. "critical theory", a reverse engineering of individualism to collectivism, i.e. for the common good of the group. I'm perfectly versed in political science, it's historic roots, intentions, motivations and history. I'm owning some remarkable book library of its masterworks.
