I'd also recommend the OCC's books on the subject: http://www.occ.gov/publications/publications-by-type/comptrollers-handbook/index-comptrollers-handbook.html and http://www.occ.gov/publications/publications-by-type/comptrollers-handbook/ots/ots-exam-handbooks-capital.html These books are how regulators look at bank capital.
