ourkid8
I might be interested depending on location/date, keep me in the loop! Tks, S
valuesource
I won't be picky as long as the spot is on the subway line. Yonge & Bloor would work really well for me since that's where I live. There's free parking around my house, after 4:00p. However, driving sucks. Makes me want to put a pencil through my eye.
hardcorevalue
I'll scout out a location today and set this up as I'll be in the area. Does Tuesday the 25th work? like around 630pm at a pub/restaurant at bloor and yonge? Please indicate if you are interested by replying so I can get an estimate of numbers. Last time I think we had 6 but feel it might be bigger this time.
Buffett_Groupie
Total round trip from Fairview Mall on the rocket is $6. Have one less drink at dinner. :P Well, in that case, if the location is Fairview Mall, then I will pay for the $6 commute fee for everyone if http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=FFH.TO reaches $600/share by the time this meet-up takes place! Nothing is impossible any more 8) Alternatively, we can go further to Markville Mall in Markham where the new gigantic Sporting Life store is located: http://www.sportinglifeblog.ca/?p=3102 This way, while you're there, you can buy a genuine Canada Goose jacket for your family members! ;D
NormR
Ah, but we can also visit William Ashley and get some Teuscher chocolate, which is near Bloor and Yonge. :)

Buffett_Groupie
Ah, but we can also visit William Ashley and get some Teuscher chocolate, which is near Bloor and Yonge. :) You can do so everyday if you're a true value investor! :)

Buffett_Groupie
Two more days like today before the meet-up, http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=ffh.to&ql=1 will put me in danger of coughing up $6 if the location is Fairview Mall. But now it's somewhere else, I'm free of promised obligations! LOL :) Have fun, guys!

hardcorevalue
Thanks Norm and everybody for coming. We had 8 investors, 33% growth from the summer's meet up. We were also able to cut the average bill size down from $19 to $15. Impressive haha. cheers.
dajidali
It was great to see everyone last night. I set up a portfolio tracker using Google Finance assuming everyone bought or sold short one share of his best idea using yesterday's closing price. I will make another update in 6 months. And when we meet around the same time next year, we can have another interesting discussion. Cheers!

ItsAValueTrap
Did Buffett Groupie make it? Nope. Must've been the price of downtown parking...?
augustabound
Did Buffett Groupie make it? Nope. Must've been the price of downtown parking...? That's why I joked upthread about the $3 subway fare. :P See, if Doug Ford was mayor, we'd all have a subway line at our door making travel seamless and convenient. Yet every picture I've ever seen from Omaha seems to have Buffett Groupie in it. Same with the FF dinner downtown too. ;D
ItsAValueTrap
If only we had an ex-drug dealer as mayor, Buffett Groupie could take the subway and not pay for parking.

Buffett_Groupie
I really wanted to go until you folks changed it to downtown even after I generously offered to pay for the first round of drinks for everyone if 1) the meet-up is at Fairview Mall (end of Sheppard subway line) and 2) FFH.TO reaches $600 by 11/25 :) By the way, you folks are welcome to hold the next one in Markham where Sporting Life recently opened a gigantic store at Markville Mall! LOL ;D
Buffett_Groupie
Now FFH is way pass $600. Any Toronto meet-up at Fairview Mall (end of Sheppard subway line) before April? :) Make it anytime between 10:00AM to 3:00PM Mon to Fri as I'm free everyday!
