Pablo12345
Anyone know how the traffic is during the meeting? I plan to rent a car to get around. Is parking difficult to find at the meeting? Thanks. I recall that event parking at CenturyLink Center was less than $20 for the day. Traffic is OK in general. It's just another Saturday for the rest of Omaha. NoCalledStrikes
If you don't mind the drive, the Kansas City airport is on the north side of KC and is only about a 2.5 hour drive to Omaha. Between the much lower air fares and car rental rates, you can save about $400-500. And money you save is after-tax :)

berkshire101
Question. When is the cut off date to become a BRK.B shareholder and still be eligible to attend the annual meeting? I bought shares sometime in mid-January 2015. Thanks.

Spirit Airlines serves Kansas City which does wonders for dropping air fares, so while the other airports are closer, the fares are better at MCI. I bought shares sometime in mid-January 2015. Thanks. You'll get the annual report and in it a postcard to request the credentials for admission. If for some reason you don't get the annual report, in the past you could bring your brokerage statement to the conference center on Friday and they'll give you credentials. If you ask nicely, someone on this board may order a few extra credentials and send them to you.

Also, you can't get the postcard online when the annual report becomes available? Thanks.

Wilson-TPC
This is awesome. This will be my first BRK meeting as well! Hope to see everyone there. I will be arriving on Friday morning. Does anyone have any suggestions for Friday during the day and Sunday? Thanks a ton!
Pablo12345
Wilson, see my comments earlier in this thread from December 19 for ideas. Also I believe I read that the exhibit hall was going to be open on Friday. Might be a good way to see everything, beat the crowds and pick up some of the give aways. Guest Schwab711
I'm flying in to Omaha Thursday night (4/30) and arriving at 9pm. Would anyone mind having a guest for Thursday night (4/30)? I would of course be willing to pay for whatever my share is + extra or dinner. I found a Motel 6 in Council Bluffs that has nice 2 bed rooms for $80/night if anyone needs a hotel (5 miles away). It also has a fridge/microwave and I think free wi-fi. I booked a room for Fri/Sat (and will add Thursday if I can't find another option). Is anyone else staying in or near Council Bluffs want to share a cab or bus into Omaha? Also, would anyone be interested in getting a group together for dinner Friday night? Maybe we should make a reservation now? It would be great to put faces to names after talking to all of you so much!

The on street parking is wide open because all of the out of towners are parking in the parking lot. Park on Capitol Avenue or Dodge Street for free and with no traffic! Also, wait in the MUCH shorter line into the stadium at the corner of 10th and Capitol instead of the longer line at 10th and Cass St. (where everyone lines up after parking in the pay lot). Guest longinvestor
I've an extra room for anyone interested (those that planned late). Please PM me soon, since the hotel has a 30 day cancellation policy versus the usual 4 PM on day-of cancellation policy!
berkshire101
Did anyone get their credentials in the mail for the meeting yet? I mailed mine in last week. However, I haven't received the physical copy in the mail. My broker emailed an electronic version so I printed the postcard and mailed it that way. Hopefully it's still valid, otherwise I'll have to go to stadium the day before to pick up the meeting stuff.
