JEast
http://i61.tinypic.com/15gt5oz.png As the Fairfax event grows ever bigger year after year, there is less and less time to re-connect with our old acquaintances and also have time to make new relationships. More importantly, less time to share ideas like years ago when some of us came in early to sit in the back of Joe Badaldi's for 5-6 hours, or until the staff kicked us out! As such, Norm and I will be attempting to organize a very small event (before or after) the AGM in 2016 to talk/pitch value investing and share ideas. This is not to recreate the Joe Badaldi's back room or duplicate ValueX (though could not resist the YY x Toronto Value connection), but an attempt to set aside a block of time for idea sharing and/or disconfirming challenges to our ideas. Stay tuned.
JEast
For folks that will be in Toronto early this year, we have scheduled a small (20 max) old school 'Badaldi Back-room' investment pitch event. Similar to a TED type talk with an 8-10 minute idea presentation and a few follow-up Q&As. We presently have a few more open spots for presenters/guests. If interested, please PM me with some of your personal background info if you want to pitch an idea. Date: Tuesday, April 12, 2016 Time: 1:30 PM to 4:45 PM Registration: Required
