Boston area lunch, Saturday, May 16

OK another attempt for Boston area meeting.

 

The plan is to have lunch in suburbs.

Possible locations: http://www.fusiontastestoneham.com/ or http://www.reginapizzeria.com/polcaris.php or http://spicemelrose.com/ .

You are welcome to suggest other places.

If majority people who sign up strongly prefer Cambridge, we might try something there.

If you sign up and you want Cambridge location, please specify in the thread.

 

Current plan is to lunch at 12:30pm on Saturday, May 16.

I'll be in the area, but I'm not sure of having transportation.  I also don't know the area too well--I'll be in Woburn, how far away are these locations?

Hah, if you're going to be in Woburn, then these places are all within 5-10 minutes by car. There is practically no walking/public transportation in Woburn though. I can give you a lift if you want.

I think it may make more sense for each person to say where they're located/coming from and then plan a location central to the group. Or central/close to those without transport. I'm in Watertown and have transport. 5/16 is okay. I'd vote for a Thai restaurant. Judgis, thanks for working to organize.

I live in Waltham. Woburn / Cambridge / Anywhere in the neighborhood works fine.

I am in Stoneham. I can pick up racemize from Woburn if needed.

 

I won't vote for restaurant - any are fine for me.

Just a comment though: IIRC http://www.fusiontastestoneham.com/ and http://www.reginapizzeria.com/location_detail.php?location_id=51&Brick%20Oven%20Pizza%20-%20Polcari%27s%20Woburn%20-%20Woburn are pretty empty at this time on Saturday. http://spicemelrose.com/ was more busy, but I hope we can get a table there - if vote goes for it, I'll call about reservations.

Yes, this is definitely happening. Saturday, May 16, 12:30pm. Restaurant to be decided by Wednesday.

 

For our NH friends: the proposed locations in Woburn/Stoneham/Melrose are a tiny bit closer to you guys than Boston :)

 

Everyone can vote your preference for the restaurant today and tomorrow.

Thanks for setting this up, Jurgis! What is the reservation under? Aside from everyone wearing their BRK 50th lanyard how will we know who's who?

I think we are the only reservation for 8 people, so it should not be hard to find each other. :) I'll try to remember to wear a name tag. Current plan for red pants/sweater.
