Not a fan of them phasing out GTC orders as it makes you more willing to trade. RhubarbXIV Posted November 30, 2015 Share Posted November 30, 2015 I think what the article totally misses is that the vast majority of GTC and Stop orders are actually broker-dealer side, not exchange-side. This change will seemingly have minimal impact on the way anyone trades, but it makes for good headlines seeing the NYSE "protecting the small investor."
