lincolnc
Looks like the enthusiasm from the Xiaomi announcement has completely faded amid EU and Korean antitrust probes. Also company has come out with 3 year holding rule for board nominations: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-12-11/qualcomm-adopts-three-year-investor-threshold-for-proxy-nominees I'm putting this in the "too hard" pile for now.... sleepydragon
Baupost own a lot of the shares, and their lawsuits with AAPL start going to court next week. Any thoughts?

valueinvestor
Did anyone take a look at this again? The price level is interesting where it is 14x PE with street guidance, and less than 10x with management's guidance, if you believe it. However, I always admired this business and think that it has a long way for growth, especially with 5G.
Gregmal
I agree its cheap and I like where they are positioned, but the Board is a bunch of hacks and management lost all credibility when they cried to the Trump Administration to block a takeover that shareholders clearly wanted. Makes sense, but do you think the price is baked in? Right now, it's priced pre-Broadcom offer. There may not be any more strategic acquirer, but the business is still valuable from what I can see and will benefit from a very large tailwind. gfp
It does “seem cheap” but it sounds like their court case (FTC) isnt going very well - so it’s hard to project their current business model out into the future. I’m not confident Intel has a viable 5g competing product remotely close to ready, but semiaccurate has been wrong before so who knows. The price broke lower when the testimony in the FTC case started sounding awful.
