doughishere
Does anyone have access to some charting software or tools? I'm curious to see what the "50-year chart of after-tax profits as a percent of gross domestic product" chart is.... Buffett describes it in this article: http://archive.fortune.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/2001/12/10/314691/index.htm About 1/4 the way down. Paragraph 4 in the "Interest rates, Long-term government bonds" section.
doughishere
Would FRED have those two data sets? Would a Blomberg machine?
IntrinsicEdge
FRED can do it. I think the data sets you need are CP and GNP. Tried to put a link to it here but can't figure out how to do it.

If you look at these things often you should consider using FRED excel add-in: https://research.stlouisfed.org/fred-addin/install_windows.html https://research.stlouisfed.org/fred-addin/FRED_PC_Users_Guide.pdf
tede02
JP Morgan maintains a data set that is updated quarterly. It includes the graph you were looking for on slide 14. There is a ton of data in the guide: https://am.jpmorgan.com/us/en/asset-management/gim/adv/insights/guide-to-the-markets https://am.jpmorgan.com/blob-gim/1383280028969/83456/jp-littlebook.pdf
