RedDaruma
Hi. Can anybody share HCA Holdings pitch by Dale Wettlaufer (Charlotte Lane Capital), which was posted on SumZero recently? Thanks
gfp
Here are links to his reports on HCA last year. AzCactus
What the heck is going on here. This is a hospital group during a medical crisis and their stock is getting super pummeled. Does anyone have any insights here?

spartansaver
A possibility (this is from a friend) - You lose out on all your high margin cases that have insurance and are stuck treating a bunch of coronavirus people on Medicare/Medicade who are low margin/loss making. Just his two cents, not mine. I have no skin in this game.
K2SO
It's all about non-urgent (and higher margin) procedures getting squeezed out as all resources are dedicated to treating virus patients. But it also adds a huge element of uncertainty that even HCA management can't anticipate. For example, what are the added costs of protecting other patients and staff from virus transmission? How about the possibility that staff will catch the virus and be unavailable for long periods of time? This morning HCA announced they have drawn a $2B credit line and suspended share repurchases.
