arcube
Are there any more details? Registration Link, address?
AJDelphi
It will be in the proxy statement which should get filed in the next couple weeks. The last few years that I have been going the meeting has been held at the company headquarters in Downtown LA. 949 E. 2nd Street, Los Angeles, California 90012 As far as registration they just had a sign in sheet when you show up. I wouldn't expect that to change. But I'd say just read the proxy when it gets filed. I'm sure someone, or myself, will post a link to it on here. AJDelphi
Speaking of the devil....Here is the proxy. Was filed yesterday https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/783412/000143774916043902/djco20161221_def14a.htm The address of the building where the meeting is at is 949 E 2nd St. If you use google maps to look up Daily Journal's location it sends you a block away to 915 E 1st St.

greenjk1
So no need to be a shareholder to attend? Have never been to one but was thinking of making the pilgrimage this year!
cubsfan
You don't need to be a shareholder - and it is quite good. Just get there early if you want a decent seat.
AJB96
I will be attending the Daily Journal meeting for the first time this year. I organized a dinner the evening before the meeting. Jurgis
What's the proper attire for the meeting? Full suit or button downs and khakis okay? I'm pretty sure there were some guys in T-shirts. :)
AJB96
Thanks to all who registered for the dinner tomorrow evening at Eat.Drink.Americano. The room I rented will have 25 chairs and 25 people have RSVP'd. The room we have will not have space for any more chairs. If you show up without having RSVP'd there will not be a chair for you. The resturant's limit was 20 and I got them to push it to 25. Looking forward to catching up with many CoBF board members over the next few days! Picasso
Unfortunately one of my many flaws involves being completely unaware of upcoming holidays or events that may involve my spouse. So unless I'd like divorce papers served to me on Wednesday morning, I won't be able to make it. Hopefully someone else can take my spot. Sorry! netnet
So, I have talked to one of the restaurants that we have congregated at in past years: Far Bar: http://www.farbarla.com/347 E 1st St. They say that they can accommodate up to 25 or so, but it's loose. What I think will happen is that there will be a number of people in the patio in the back and then there will be people in the rest of the place, inside. Wow, your wife must be a really on-the-ball person if she can get divorce papers served within essentially 12 hours of realizing you forgot v-day. Or maybe she already has them ready???? LOL. Was that the "Chinese have gambling in their DNA" kind of argument? I don't remember what he says about Indians...
