stahleyp
Hey all, I hear a lot of folks talking about how indexing is affecting the market and how active management can help sidestep downfalls. Does anyone have any more research/articles on how indexing is creating anomalies in the market? I found this one: http://adventuresincapitalism.com/post/2016/12/24/Indexers-Are-Running-Amok.aspx
rukawa
By far the best analysis i have read is here: http://www.philosophicaleconomics.com/2016/05/passiveactive/ He has a whole bunch of articles on indexing. I would read and reread all of them.

sarganaga
Murray Stahl has written extensively about this in his commentaries at Horizon Kinetics. http://www.horizonkinetics.com/articles.asp?pageID=5&topicID=41 Depending on your point of view, these are either a well reasoned indictment of the passive index juggernaut or the wailings of a active manager who is fearful of his AUM disappearing.
