BBW results were shocking to me. I'm guessing a lot of people buying candles to spruce up the home environment these days? Maybe the expensive soaps also helping?

From what I know hand sanitizers and soaps are top selling products, which is kind of expected. However what is impressive is that BBW managed supply chain so well that they were not out of inventory for majority of the popular products while a lot of other stores/shops ran out of sanitizers and soaps in April or May. It turned out their manufacturing is closely located in Ohio and they were able to shift production towards more popular products very quickly.

Well, it's like I've been telling you idiots for this entire thread: All we needed was an exposé on the CEO's involvement in a global pedophile ring, a failed attempt to spinoff half of the business for free, and for almost all A-malls in America to be shut down for a year to unlock the value here.

Another victory for the shrewd, conservative value investor. I've cashed in my chips and will now be deciding which crypto-marijuana enterprise to roll my gains into.

Thanks for playing everybody! Even though I am out of the stock I will continue to regularly view all of the underwear shows (including Rihanna's circus freak one) because it's important to keep one's finger in the pulse of the market.

Long NYT article on exactly that today.  As the CEO puts it, "we needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want."  Their market share of women's underwear has dropped from 32% to 21% in the past 5 years.  They needed to try something else because the "angels" weren't working anymore.

Yea I dont know the company that well, but always thought sex appeal was a major part of the brand. Ferrari deciding to target poor/middle class people probably wouldnt be great for the brand either. VS always seemed to be targeting the 18-35(probably a bit earlier than 18 even) crowd, generally those that were in good shape and took care of themselves. Maybe they're changing with the times...IDK. Dont know if targeting all women vs just the upper 20-25% is whats needed... but was just shocking to see that store ads and posters and what they've turned into. Looked like the women's department at Macy's!

Jokingly, perhaps it also has to do with the younger generation of females being averse to wearing bras....

Invest Like the Best has a pretty good podcast with Andrew Sugrue who talks about investing in Savage Lingerie, a Victoria Secret competitor with an internet business model.  Sounds like Victoria Secret has more problems than just brand dilution.
