Purchasing Nanocaps in Size?

I was wondering if anyone has had any creative strategies for buying nanocaps (<$10 million). Some of these stocks are bargains, but only trade $1,000 worth of stock a week. Has anyone ever been successful buying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of these thinly traded stocks?

For the most part it just takes a combination of time/patience (might take a year or longer) and being willing to hit the ask. You could request a shareholder list and start cold calling as well or call your broker and see if they can locate any shares.
