Parsad
I'm quite the tennis fan, and I'm following this match along on my computer at the office...23rd ranked U.S. player John Isner and unranked Frenchman Mahut have now played over 9 hours! The 5th set tiebreaker is at 58 to 57! Cheers! http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/news/log/index.html http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/scores/index.html
Josh4580
Obama has just put a moratorium on matches played without tie-breakers due to potential work distraction btw the match has been stopped today due to darkness.
Redskin212
Actually they played 4 sets on Tuesday and the match was suspended due to darkness and then played fifth set today for 6.5 hours to a 59-59 draw.... to be continued tomorrow!!

DAMN. I dont know much about Tennis but I know this is impressive. I think the draws in Soccer are what keep it from becoming popular in American. The very thought of a draw is Un American. Guest misterstockwell
Isner acted like he was mad that they called it. Not sure why--he was a zombie with absolutely no energy left. If he is fresh tomorrow, he can crank that serve back up to 140 and get his legs back so he can actually return something. GO ISNER!!
Redskin212
It is over!! 70-68 in the fifth set for ISNER. Congratulations to both players, an amazing effort.

bookie71
As one of the players said, "It's a shame someone had to lose"
tiddman
I flipped the TV on with my son and it took us 15 minutes to figure out what the score was -- we saw 58-59 and couldn't figure out if it was some new kind of scoring or what, like measuring total points or something. I think the "problem" was that the players both had good serves, which are more effective at Wimbledon on the grass, and just weren't good returners. Basically neither of them could break a serve for more than 120 games!
