accutronman
Have to continue to ride the Michael Smith success train now that Mass Financial has been folded into Terra Nova. The NYSE stock listing and associated reporting will provide some greater visibility into his strategies as well as more liquidity for investors to trade in and out. king888
Latest article from Clemens Scholl http://seekingalpha.com/article/287939-terra-nova-has-noble-aspirations Terra Nova plans to distribute to shareholders about $100m in assets before the end of this year. mevsemt
I've owned Terra Nova since September 2010, here's the original post I wrote when I bought the stock: http://mevsemt.blogspot.com/2010/09/transaction-alert-bought-ttt.html. There are several links within my post that give some good background on Michael Smith, so that's a good place to start. If you'd like to see all my posts on Terra Nova just go to my blog, http://mevsemt.blogspot.com/, and click on the "zz Terra Nova" label on the right. IMHO the stock is still reasonably cheap, but at the end of the day it's still almost a pure "jockey" bet.
turar
They said they will be spinning non core assets to shareholders, but didn't specify in what form -- dividend or shares of a spin. Currently one concern is that if shares are distributed, they will be rather illiquid.
king888
mevsemt, I read your blog several months ago when Micheal Smith was mentioned on this board. But I just bought in TTT in recent dip but it just very few shares. I think the problem with TTT is its disclosure. That's why it is trading below book value despite the good track record of MS. IMO, there should be more "Nobility" as MS said in latest call that he want one. And this can increase the premium of the stock price.
