Where to get prospectus of old securities

I have a few preferred shares I would like to investigate but they were put on the market more then 20 years ago and I want to know the details of those shares. Where or how can I know the details if the prospectuses are not on EDGAR?

you would prolly want to talk to investor relations or the CFO of the company.

 

Maybe check in the appropriate governmental office in the state where the shares were registered.
