txlaw
I'm sure many of you who follow SD also follow CHK. Did you guys check out the CHK Analyst Day slides on the Miss? Might as well have been SD slides. I'm getting this crazy idea -- perhaps SD and CHK should combine their Mississipian ops into one company? bmichaud
Wouldn't at all be surprising to see some form of a DVN/SD/CHK transaction with those assets.

ASTA
Well Monster wells here we come. And like some older people I know says we need a war Iraq helps SD :D Plus http://www.beyondproxy.com/page/2/ has commentary on the stock from Arlington value capital and the website in general is having some great news now :D
gordoffh
SD back over 7 for only the second time since last February 2013 I believe. Long road from the mid 4's. Perhaps finally the long time holders will reap some rewards in the near future. Hitting big wells, commodity prices going up ( esp ng),apparent competent management, beating street estimates, etc and of course an endorsement from cramer himself.if this would run like lts and eca have recently life would be good :)

gordoffh
SD down big time in the last few days on high volume led to some speculation that one of the larger holders had sold out of position. Well it appears it wasn, t Leon Cooperman who on CNBC still recommended SD and is still holding. Wasn, t real happy to see 6,s again but there you go. alertmeipp
The path from 7 back down to low 5 was rather quick. But the valuation of the whole sector is trashed
rogermunibond
Guiding down on 14 production was due mostly to Permian trust production not mid-Con. That's the one ray of light in the clouds.
Cardboard
The latest report is quite discouraging to me. Even if you adjust for the trusts (sell them, reduce debt and reduce Ebitda), the company still trades today at just over 7 times Ebitda (vs Enterprise Value). That is about the same as KOG which is being acquired. Of course, there is the 20% growth figure being touted but, why would an acquirer pay $10 a share or about 10 times Ebitda when other oil & gas companies are also growing and being acquired for less? We also hear about the salt water system that could be sold or put into a trust, but how much is that really worth and what kind of impact are we talking on the balance sheet? I am looking for counter arguments or points that I am missing since I am getting ready to move on. Cardboard
kfh227
For now I am holding. I'll either buy more at $4 or sell of when it runs up again. I need to check my cost basis. I think it's in the $6s somewhere. And after I sell, the run to $11 starts ..... as it always seems to happen with me ;-)
