Are there any blogs out there you all highly recommend a young/inexperience investor read?

 

I'm especially interested in dividend payers / micro-caps.

 

An example of what I find useful - The discussion with HarryLong and others on the board regarding Insurers,  I had no clue where to begin with insurers until reading this.  I can model in Excel/do some EPV & Multiples but I don't have any knowledge of the nuances in various industries.

 

Also I view blogs as a way to get idea's to invest in, This is less interesting to me as I am hopefully starting a job at a fund soon and will likely invest in the fund.

I personally would recommend cheap stocks, shadow stocks, brontecapital, value undercovered, whooper investments and ragnarisapirate...I'm definitely missing a lot more great value blogs out there, but you'll eventually find the blogs that suite you as time goes on. In the past three years there has been an explosion of terrific value blogs.  Lot of board members also have a blog and I've never been disappointed when I checked it out.

For micro caps, Bruce at Pink Sheets never disappoints (but he rarely posts) and John at shadow stock is brilliant.

Check out the investing for income page on Seeking Alpha.  There are some dividend zealots there.  There is a loyal flock of dividend followers to the various authors there.

For micro caps, Bruce at Pink Sheets never disappoints (but he rarely posts) and John at shadow stock is brilliant.

 

2x shadow stock. Don't know who John is but he gave me the only idea to date that I picked up from a blog. It was so straight forward and simple that I bought a few shares just after reading his writeup. Kudos John.
