rogermunibond
Fans of Sprott will probably have some passing recollection of this company. They are a exploratory gold miner with 3 highly prospective finds in Indonesia and some energy assets in Mongolia (uranium). The company is going through a transition spinning off 2 of the Indo. gold plays and its Mongolian energy play to shareholders (these spinoffs are being backstopped by CIBC and a PE entity CEF Holdings backed by Cheung Kong and Li Ka-shing). Li's involvement in the spinoff is what interests me. There is a distinct possibility that following the spinoffs shareholders will dump the shares of Barisan Gold Corp. and Sangihe Gold Corp. and stick with the larger more developed Miwah Gold deposit. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/barisan-gold-announces-listing-on-tsx-venture-exchange-2011-08-17-831350?reflink=MW_news_stmp
