Berkshire website hacked?

Anyone go to http://www.berkshirehathaway.com this morning?  Seems that either their domain expired and a squatter got it or they were hacked.  Either way I'm guessing someone is going to be getting a nice fat payday out of this one.

 

Beware lots of popups, I will say though whoever did this targeted the ads nicely.

Someone forgot to pay the bill. I guess a billion a month in cash flow to Berkshire wasn't enough  ;D

It happened yesterday.  I thought they were just updating the site, and whoever their service provider is, had just put a temporary page up.  The domain according to Whois is still owned by Berkshire:

I suspect it was a hack, not someone forgetting to renew the domain name.  Probably some Republican techie who hates the Buffett Tax!  ;D  Cheers!

Not sure when it went back to normal, but the Berkshire site is working normal again.  Cheers!
