valueyoda
It is truly amazing how liquid the stock is. I am wondering who is selling out and why.
thepupil
wow, lots of shareholder turnover here... I personally hope it is John Stayduhar selling and "active" concerned shareholders buying. I see John Stayduhar as a potential wildcard and prefer Groveland, Ancora, Jay, etc. I can't find much on the guy other than he lives in a small condo, accidentally ran over a kid, and according to the SODI transcript, has no contact with the company and received his shares from the BK many years ago. Anyone have additional info on him? But it may be other guys we already know about just changing hands. http://www.pbcgov.com/papa/Asps/PropertyDetail/PropertyDetail.aspx?parcel=00424422070034060 http://www.wflx.com/story/8226344/driver-fatally-drags-boy

Stayduhar previously was chairman (and I believe for a period ran) SODI, so these are legacy shares. http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/1989-05-29/business/8901270973_1_microwave-division-riviera-beach-solitron-devices I think he's a willing seller, so it's quite possible it's John. I wouldn't be surprised if it were Ancora, as I think they're a bit fed up with the situation. I'm very intrigued to see who the new 5%er is. oddballstocks
Received my annual report and proxy in the mail today. Looks like after the annual meeting last year Alex Toppan decided to dump his position, he's no longer a 5% holder.

jschembs
Actually 26, as of last week. Since you've filed a G as opposed to a D, I'm curious as to your interest/intent in the position?
valueyoda
I want to have an opportunity to discuss my ideas with the CEO first and meet the other shareholders to see whether something can be done about the capital allocation strategy. This is going to be a very long term holding for me! However, if the current board remains uncooperative, I might go active.

You can find some background on the hedge fund here: http://www.iexprofs.nl/Column/Opinie-Productrecensies/92624/Mayflower-1776-doet-als-Buffett.aspx (you probably need Google Translate) and returns: http://www.iexprofs.nl/Product/2326/Mayflower-1776-Value-Fund.aspx

This is going to be a very long term holding for me! However, if the current board remains uncooperative, I might go active. To prep you for those discussions, Shevach will claim there is too much uncertainty (legal issues, now resolved; availability of wafers sized to their capital equipment, etc) to loosen the purse strings. However, he stated in the 10K they only need approx $300k in capex for FY2015. I think he is very weary of any and all outside shareholders. I'm certainly open to suggestions you have. valueyoda
I am fairly certain that he will say that. However, going active has not been a fruitful exercise either with the poison pill in place. I would love to discuss ideas with anyone here that has a large stake, especially you Jay.
valueyoda
I am still wondering who the big seller was. As the bulk of my trades took place on last Thursday, we should see an updated 13g or 13d filing before Monday.

Very possible that he's not in it at all. Has anyone spoken to him or have any additional insight here? Maybe oddball/valueyoda/jschembs?
valueyoda
Unfortunately, I haven't. Furthermore, we should get a better gauge at what level of actual ownership or ownership change the company's NOLs are in jeopardy, because I don't believe that the 15% - the poison pill level - is that level.
