Saw this was finally released on Android, Amazon AR View. Wayfair has a similar app.

"AR view lets you view products in your home before you buy them. You can see how they fit, and test how they look. Curious whether a throw pillow is the right shade of blue, or whether a mixer you like will fit under the counter? Now just pull out your phone to find out."

Don't see it happening myself

Loop Capital sees 'strategic rationale' for Amazon to buy Wayfair Loop Capital analyst Laura Champine writes that there is a "compelling strategic rationale" for Amazon (AMZN) to acquire Wayfair (W), as has been recently speculated in The Wall Street Journal and Forbes, particularly in light of its interest in home furnishings along with its appetite for "sizeable acquisitions". The analyst adds that while it would be dilutive for Amazon EPS to buy Wayfair in the short run, the management's long-term focus could be sufficient to consider the acquisition. Champine notes that the possibility of such a deal supports her Buy rating on Wayfair.

Gotta love that Trump can't even conceive that Bezos is letting the WaPo editorial alone. Trump knows that if he owned it, he would use it as his personal vendetta tool, so he figures Bezos must be doing the same and it must be personal rather than just standard good journalism to scrutinize the POTUS.

Here's the original Axios story, btw:

Anyway, accusing Amazon of not paying enough taxes is pretty rich from the man who bragged about it:

The Pentagon is close to awarding a $10 billion deal to Amazon despite Trump's tweets attacking the company

Oracles tax rate was 18.9% in 2017. The cloud business has not much to do with retail either and I don’t really think that ORCL is competitive in the cloud business.

What else is the US postal service is going to do other than getting involved in e- commerce?

I doubt that sending Hallmark cards is going to be a growth business and the days of junk mail are counted to as its is replaced by junk email and junk targeted ads very quickly.

The do an amazing job in getting customers sucked in their Business ecosystem. We used to get primes just for the free shipping, but now I use Amazon music, Amazon prime video, Alexa, Amazon locker and we ave an Amazon CC. Amazon went from nice to have to very difficult to replace and the value we are getting is very extremely.

Amazon has an tactic to pay it forward for their customers, they offer value first, then raise prices later. No opinion regarding AMZN as an investment and I don’t own stock.
