Would you be able to share some of this analysis because I am actually starting to wonder how to see these sorts of trends and growth because I've been under the impression that shop your way was mostly the sales at stores using the membership card.

I had no idea people were visiting that website. however I don't think visitors and traffic could tell us how successful they are at selling products.

could you give some insight on how you figured out that skymiles trick? are there other ways to figure out how SYW is performing using these indirect methods?

Agreed, traffic is not a guarantee for sales or effectiveness.  That said, more traffic is almost surely better than less traffic.

I'll point you to the websites, but it would take writing a short novel show you exactly how to find this data.  It's pretty straightforward in figuring out how to use the websites (no harder than posting to COBF)  Try using Google Trends ( www.trends.google.com ).  I believe you need a google account to access this, but it's free and I'd say worth it.

As for alexa.com I've subscribed for a modest fee.  You might be able to get a free trial.

I´d say that a strong indicator for a successful execution of SYW is when 3rd party brands get a strong following on SYW. I´ve been following this for a while and it seems that the numbers don´t really change that much, at least not in any way near the visiting data from Alexa.

If you go to the SYW website you see that the Sears brands (the KDC brands, SYW, Kmart and Sears) have around 5 million followers each. The most popular outsider brands seems to be Samsung with 460 thousand followers (4,400 products) and Canon with 350 thousand followers (6,500 products on SYW).

Sears Holdings is falling like a rock this morning?

Berkowitz redemptions?

Hardly likely! Average daily volume traded in last half hour. Why would a fund manager shoot himself in the foot? If this were the 1920's this would surely be a bear raid, but given the great oversight in the market I'm sure that's not the case! Will be interesting to see who bought at these levels!

This news is troubling.  Plenty of people have trusted Sears for decades for all of their fake mustache needs.  But don't worry.  I have done the digging for you.  If Sears can't satisfy the demand, here is an alternative.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_13?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=fake+mustache&sprefix=fake+mustache%2Caps%2C135

Hmmm, does anyone see a problem with this: http://www.shopyourway.com/sodial-12-pack-self-adhesive-assorted-fake-moustache-mustache-set-fancy-dress-party-birthday-stylish/341067452

A 12 pack of fake mustaches for $12k, or $1k per pack.. Who's buying this stuff?

I did a quick comparison, Amazon has all of the exact same mustaches as SYW but at lower prices.  Same packaging, although SYW offers a 1 year warranty on them, no joke.  You can purchase a warranty on a fake mustache.  This puts Best Buy's extended warranties to shame.  Best Buy at least tries to only hawk warranties on electronics, Sears has no shame, they're hawking warranties on mustaches.

Those mustaches are gold, Jerry, gold!

I can see the warranty being useful.  Picture this scenario.  You've been wearing a fake mustache for a while at your job because you can't grow a nice, full stache on your own.  This changed your life as all the ladies say you look just like Tom Selleck.  But after about 11 months the adhesive stops working well and the stache just doesn't look as fresh as it did.  Now sure, some people are made of money and just head right on down to their local Sears to pick up a new batch, but others aren't so fortunate.  I think this warranty would come in handy for them.

This is actually a very bullish sign. It means SYW has pricing power over Amazon since they're able to get away with charging more for the same product.

Yes, this must be a sign their moat is back!  We're just a few short months away from the big reveal.  ESL is going to pull back the curtain and unveil his master plan.  Money will be gushing as they sell $8 Amazon items for $8,000!

ESL has been in hiding, growing out his own mustache.  Rumors have it it'll look like this: http://mizzlesblizzle.blogspot.com/2011/02/is-it-moostash-or-mustash.html

That is quite a stache.  For some reason though I picture ESL coming out of hiding and looking like Ron Jeremy.

The end is coming sooner than I had thought

Sears Vendor Said to Halt Shipments as Insurers Back Away

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-10-08/sears-vendor-said-to-halt-shipments-as-insurers-back-away.html?cmpid=yhoo

This isn't the end, it's merely a step in a large master plan that ESL has.  He and Berkowitz have teamed up to bankrupt the company, but it's a plan to unlock all of the hidden value.  It looks like vendors are losing confidence, but make no mistake, ESL probably talked to them and encouraged this, it's just part of his plan.

Everything is bankruptcy remote, remember?  They'll send creditors packing and then invite investors to a secret meeting in the back room of a Sears store.  There they'll divvy up the remaining inventory and hand out store keys to the 7 investors left in the stock.  I heard Berkowitz already has dibs on the East Jablip and Left Nowhere stores that are on JOE land.

Does anyone else predict a press release in the next few hours describing how SHLD is financially stable and the Company has not heard from any suppliers of plans to halt shipment?

Well, they did respond to this report and didn't deny it, so my guess is no:

“We continue to meet all of our obligations,” Chris Brathwaite, a company spokesman, said in an e-mail. “We are continuing to work with our vendors and suppliers and are communicating with them regularly as we move through our transformation. To date, we’ve had no interruptions in the flow of goods to our company.”

I just checked out that ShopYourWay.com site. Clicked on 'Shop Departments' and chose Men's Halloween costumes. It lists the most like 'halloween costume' as this giant bag of Tootsie Rolls: http://www.shopyourway.com/rhode-island-novelty-black-chocolate-tootsie-rolls-360-pieces/146223091, and the top wanted halloween costume as this burgundy tie http://www.shopyourway.com/ties-and-bowties-burgundy-3-75-satin-tie-6816/313601906.

This company is such an absolute shit show.
