TeddyLampert
... or ESL/BB does a private placement with a strategic buyer... the possibilities are mind-numbing, making it impossible to speculate on the short term direction of LE's share price. My own view is to understand the quality of the business, make an estimate of intrinsic value, have a decision tree of what to do at certain prices, and buckle up for the ride. BTShine
Exactly. It's the quality if the business, and the price you pay/receive, not predicting what the players involved will do.
Guest longinvestor
http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20140325/business/140328981/ I don't follow SHLD on the CoBF forum, but ran across this headline in a Chicago newspaper today. This may be old news on the 500+ pages of posts.

20ppy
Thus is a duplicate. If you go to the company blogs, you will see that CFO says Sears has plenty of liquidity now so there isn't any need for such arrangements.

Luke 532
Finished converting the remainder of my SHLD stock into SHLDV this week. Market value/dollars invested is the same but my share count increases roughly 25% in exchange for giving up the rights to my Lands' End shares. I'm pretty happy with that trade-off. It was like pulling teeth trying to get the trades executed as the spreads are so wide, and it will be much easier to do the same next week with increased liquidity, but I couldn't pass up the ~25% increase in share count. The fashion, and the online execution are terrible as usual. If you search sears.com for Now + Here or Now Here, there are only 3 relevant items. All the rest are CDs or non Now + Here clothing. http://www.sears.com/search=now%20%252B%20here http://www.sears.com/search=now%20here I also happened across a Now + Here storefront. The only way I've found to navigate to it is to search for Now + Here, then go to the second page of results, then search for Now Here. http://www.sears.com/clothing-shoes-jewelry-specialty-shops-now-and-here/b-1325816097?redirectType=BRAT_RULE

Do you know when we will? I read it that you will receive your LE and SHLD shares at the end of today and then they will start trading as normal separate companies on monday. We expect that “when-issued” trading will begin on or shortly before the record date and continue up to and including the distribution date, after which time all shares of Lands’ End common stock will be traded on a regular settlement basis, or “regular-way” trading, under the symbol “LE.”

adesigar
I recently started to analyze Sears Holdings Properties and try to find out Assessed Values of Sears Properties. I got values but im not very confident about how accurate they are. Some seem a little too high. Also Ive come across info that is confusing me. Here is an Example of the Values I found. Again im not sure of this data so please don't take it as fact. ========================================= City Mall Assessed Value ========================================= Antioch Somersville Towne Center $7,546,000.00 Bakersfield Valley Plaza Mall $9,700,000.00 Brea Brea Mall $14,038,091.00 Buena Park Buena Park Downtown $17,572,922.00 Burbank Burbank Town Centre $13,846,000.00 Canoga Park Westfield Topanga $19,243,200.00 Carlsbad Westfield Plaza Camino Real $13,317,093.00 ========================================= An Example of what im confused by. The Buena Park Property is at 8150 La Palma Ave, Buena Park, CA 90620 http://www.sears.com/stores/california/buena-park/0001268.html Assessed Value I got from http://commercial-properties.findthebest.com/l/1720557/8150-La-Palma-Ave-Buena-Park-CA-90620 is $17,576,922 This info also states it was Last sold for $100,000 on June 28th 2013. Does anyone have a good way of finding Assessed Values? Thanks in advance.

chetster
Is this a concern? "Equity One names David Lukes as next CEO Equity One (EQY) announced that David R. Lukes will join the company no later than May 31 as an Executive Vice President and will become its CEO upon the departure of Jeffrey S. Olson later this year. Lukes most recently served as President and CEO of Sears Holdings Corporation (SHLD) affiliate Seritage Realty Trust."
