EdWatchesBoxing
Two new solid videos for Kmart. Not life saving, nor life changing for KMart. But, I do like the vibe they're giving off with marketing nowadays. 250,000 views in the first four days (released July 25th) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTpb37WY0eA 1,500,000 views on youtube in the last two weeks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VxjfMKa9PE LOL, at the second vid. Gym teacher at the end was too funny.
texual
At first I thought these were ads like the ship my pants one. After seeing em I sincerely hope this never gets popular or anyone sees this even casually. Please Eddie don't make these into commercials for TV either... I have no idea who gave these the green light, but it really speaks volumes.
constructive
Kid with the high top fade and kid who likes green are pretty awesome. The clothes look like they cost $10 though. I was hoping Eddie would drop in with a guest verse about accounting, a la Kendrick Lamar.

BTShine
Here are 9 recently announced store closures. I believe they were all announced in the last month or so. Mephistopheles
I have been keeping track of this for a while and since the beginning of 2013 to last week I have over 50 store closures. The majority of closures were due to the lease expiring. They haven't put out a list like they did in 2011 with the 120 stores that they were closing. Sears is doing everything they can to keep these quiet and not have a repeat of the last time they announced a closing list in 2011. Wow, glad to hear that it's 50 this year. Their aggression with store closures from last year has certainly carried over to this year.

Matson125
Are they closing more Kmart locations or Sears locations actually? Mostly Kmarts. I don't have the spreadsheet handy at the computer I'm on but if I were to guess it would be at a 3 to 1 ratio.

FCharlie
Don't think he can buy 45 days before earnings are out. Perhaps he will be the day after. SHLD current Market Cap: $4.4 billion SHLD's current inventory, net of accounts payable: $5.0 Billion Gun to your head... If you had $5 billion and you could only use it for one of two things, would you rather: A) Buy all of Sears & Kmart's owned inventory, or B) Buy SHLD the entire company and still have $600 million of extra spending money. I would wager a healthy sum that those contributing to this site don't seek the rate of return that most investors experience. And most investors have never bothered to read The Intelligent Investor, Margin of Safety, etc. The fact that most investors choose "C" is more reason for one to choose "A" or "B." I've chosen "B" in size.
constructive
That's why the gun is involved. :D I find it a bit doubtful that "gun to your head, spend $5B" is a useful mental model.
