cpan
For some reason TE connectivity looks really interesting to me. It looks like its the leader in a fragmented industry with maybe 2 other big competitors (molex, Amphenol). The valuation looks pretty cheap with strong free cash flow. The CEO sounded very humble in the conference call when explaining their effort in expanding to mobile. I am still trying to understand the industry segment better. Does anyone have any pointers to what to read to get a better handle on the industry?

T-bone1
I believe he owned at least 300k shares prior to becoming an insider and buying 200k shares in the open market.
stahleyp
tbone, thanks for your info. I also liked your info on the CHK thread. Writing puts here is looking pretty interesting, too.
frith2012
If you consolidate all of his/his family's holdings, he owns a total of 542,098 shares or about $9.1m worth of CHK. If you're looking for insider holdings, look up the company in edgar and then click on insider transactions. Once you've clicked on the record of the officer/director you're interested in, you'll be able to see the most recent form 4 which details a transaction and lists total holdings. The most recent addition of shares was not a direct purchase, it was an award from CHK. http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/895126/000089512612000336/xslF345X03/edgardoc.xml

educatedidiot
Lou's Q4 13-F is out.. He's all over the cable operators, taking stakes in Charter and Liberty Broadband as well as increasing his Cable One position: http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=228763&fC=
rogermunibond
His ALSN position is also interesting to me given the downgrades on fears of electric trucks.
educatedidiot
Lou's Q1 13-F is out. He just took a huge stake in Carmax this quarter, making it his 4th largest position. This is a big position for Sequoia, Akre, Markel, Broad Run, and Giverny as well. He also added to a few of his top holdings. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=228763&fC=
