RadMan24
They should release their 10k on a saturday or friday night, just to be fair to everyone after all this. I hope that's the plan at least. Anyway, interesting piece on WSJ. Definitely appears that guy has a strong appetite for juicier returns. Don't think he'll drag it all the way, but maybe an interest rate concession? Sehayes1982
Come on, it's such a joke. Even the headline going for the shock factor: "BIG" investor.." Yeah, $250 million out of the $30 billion or whatever total debt VRX owes. So it's less than 1%! Wow, huge! Forget that a majority agreed to concessions. I saw this with OCN and threats to move servicing by bondholders with tiny fractions of the total servicing book. Non-issues that somehow had to be pushed as crises when the company was already beaten down.

LC
Good article. First time I've seen that Pearson was caught drunk driving. That was in 2009 and I didn't see it mentioned anywhere in this thread until now.

LongHaul
The more I think about it the more I think the parable of the Scorpion and the Frog is applicable to Mike Pearson. I doubt his character would ever change (no matter what he says) and his actions have turned out to be self destructive.

VersaillesinNY
A contrarian bet from Bill Miller on VRX. I know, his fund exploded in flight during the financial crisis, but he is sometimes right (Eg: his early investment in Google). http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-04-14/bill-miller-buying-valeant-stock-on-bet-drugmaker-could-double

doughishere
WSJ: Five directors leaving Valeant board; may include chairman Ingram http://seekingalpha.com/news/3176687-wsj-five-directors-leaving-valeant-board-may-include-chairman-ingram Edit: Dave Benoit @DaveCBenoit Ackman wasn't kidding on big changes: Valeant to name 4 new directors, 5 leaving include Morfit. Mephistopheles
Lol, I loved when Senator McCaskil name dropped Munger and Buffett and quoted Munger: "Valeant is like ITT, only the CEO is worse", and Ackman had nothing to say. And then the FNMA plug in by Corker. Oh man, entertaining hearing. Edit: Around the 6 hr 25 min mark in this video, after the hearing is over, you can see Ackman justifying the new CEO's pay package to the senator's if you turn up your volume all the way. http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/live-video-event.html?mod=e2tw

ourkid8
Let me clarify, there is still a ValueAct representative on the board. Mason Morfit was brought in temporarily to be on the special committee investigating Philidor which is now complete. They still have D. Robert Hale on the Board who will represent their investment.
