Jurgis
TSLA is not on the list of stonks that Robinhood prevents from buying. Cause clearly it's not at 100x intrinsic value unlike the stonks on Robinhood list. So, let's all pile into TSLA.

DooDiligence
Musk sent Dogecoin flying yesterday, he's clearing just having fun. But to be fair, if I was the richest man on Earth I'd probably spend all day trolling too. I can't remember who said this but, "Figure out what you'd do if you hit it big, and don't wait. Do it now." I play music and troll all day, and have never been happier! I figure there's room to get even better if I'd quit trolling. Damn Twitter for lifting my suspension. formthirteen
M&A Rumor I approve. Two geniuses (Wang Chuanfu and Charlie Munger Elon Musk) that would push the world towards a future with monorails and electrical cars ;D
TBW
Conveniently leaked on day of massive recall. Tesla is very good at SEO. Once you notice it, like carbon capture prize day before report about natgas drilling for SpaceX it's hard not to see alot of Musks actions from this lens. RadMan24
The rumor could be taken out of context, or completely false. But keep in mind BYD plans on spinning off its battery business eventually once it builds scale. Tesla might be inquiring on how to get a stake in that business prior to the spinoff, if they did indeed have discussions. All speculative, but I find it hard to believe Tesla has any interest in anything but the battery aspect.

KFS
Wow, this will be interesting https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/08/tesla-buys-1point5-billion-in-bitcoin.html Why didn't Tesla buy Dogecoin instead? That would be an even better way of trolling the market after Elon's latest tweets. Maybe Tesla has given up on making a profit from selling cars. The strategy is to make money from (1) issuing shares, (2) selling regulatory emissions credits, and now (3) speculation in cryptocurrencies. It's a brilliant strategy because the bitcoin purchase will further amp up the Tesla core investor base, increase the stock price even more, and enable shares to be issued again and again at even higher prices. It will keep going higher because the planet has an almost unlimited amount of fools to buy it at any price. What could go wrong?

KFS
Maybe it's b/c BTC is now becoming considered a legitimate store of value? BTC is a wild roller coaster. I think some people will never drink that coffee thinking it's still scalding-hot, while at some point it had become quite drinkable and later realize that it's actually all gone for them to consume. ::)

Elon can keep issuing Tesla stock and using the proceeds to buy Bitcoin until he controls the price and can then force a short squeeze that drive up both Tesla and Bitcoin in a virtuous circle :o
