Anyone following the mining controversy in Romania?

I find this interesting Iv looked at Gabriel in the past but not recently. Baupost and Paulson own I think ~35% of company, its huge political issue in Romania but I havent seen much US coverage on it. Gabriel also not covered much by sell side but I think this mine is big asset (if they can drill). I guess this is not investment per say but out of curiosity so I hope I posted in right place.
