Value investors looking for a way to play Ireland's property market might want to look closely at GREEN REIT just recently IPO'd in Ireland a few months ago and last week Hibernia REIT also debuted.  Both are newly minted REITs since Ireland just passed laws creating them. They will buy distressed assets from struggling banks and they appear to be 60-65% below 2007 values and yield 8-8.5%  Soros and others bought in at the IPO of GREEN at 1 Euro.  Facts can be found on their website here:
