randomep
I hear very little about about this little gem. This is a high end book maker, nobody has written about it on the web except me in the last 1 1/2 years. And the stock has more than doubled. http://bovinebear.blogspot.com/2013/12/mcrae-q1-earnings-up-55.html

no_thanks
I follow someone on Twitter (@ValGARP) that talks about them all the time. Congrats on a good investment, I hope it goes higher for you. I heard the report was good the other day but didn't look into it.
oddballstocks
I'm pretty sure they make boots unless they changed their business. This is a blast from the past, they were a marginal net-net a few years back. I've looked at them maybe a dozen times, missed the boat each time I passed. When visiting my in-laws we drive past a western store along the highway as we pass through West Virginia that sells (or sold) McRae boots. Every time we drive by I think about this missed double. MCRAA is a huge cigar butt to me, it was netnet now no longer and I don't think it will pop much more. But this is what I hoped coming in. I am hoping that I have discovered a pattern, a lot of these old companies have had problems/issues, and restructured, and then their stock moves sideways for a long time, but their performance has consistantly improved since the restructuring. Then one day, the market suddenly discovers this and their stock doubles. I am probably going to open a position on Hanover with this expectation. seriously, oddballstocks: I really like your blog, I consider it one of the two best blogs out there. bookie71
I have had it for several years and it is better than a triple and paid very nice dividends over the years. It isn't a cigar butt but a nice growing company in a very boring area. Their real gravy is military boots.

BTW is anyone going to the annual shareholder meeting in Mt. Gilead? I wanted to go, but the expenses and time just makes it impossible this year.
