  2. Naturally, such kind of exchange of information is subject to all kinds of censorship here on CoBF. Don't get any ideas! - You stay here! I don't add much to financial discussions here (surprise), but I get a ton of value from reading all you guys, so I'll be hanging around for a while, and occasionally throwing my bent, f'ed up, 2 pennies in. I'm curious about what kind of music boards Liberty visits. Are there some good theoretical & practical discussions going on about popular music of the present & past (I'd find that super helpful & would be able to contribute bigly)? I don't frequent music forums anymore, but I used to be very active on a few in the late 90s and early 2000s. Some were about underground metal ((death metal, black metal, grindcore, industrial, various scandinavian sub-genres, etc), and some were more general, covering folk, jazz, classical, electronic, rock, fusion, prog, etc, and all the various crossbreedings. Mostly about sharing with others good albums we discovered, getting recommendations, reviewing albums, etc.
  3. Don't suppose you were on the Hollertronix board? I've always had a slight curiosity if there's any crossover between the music boards I hung out on, and here. No, not familiar with that one.

  5. There's a lot of growth capex and opex in there, no doubt. They're still in land-grab mode.
  6. Well, you went from a beer to a good single malt. Not bad.
  7. Was just curious what the return would've been if someone had bought when this first post was posted. About 1,615% in about 8 years, or 41.59% CAGR.
  8. Whew! Now I can sleep well at night because obviously I use the same password for COBF as I do for all of my financial accounts! Given the angst and hand-wringing about HTTPS, it would seem that I am one of many who just uses one single password for all of my accounts. :P SJ The problem is that increasingly, all browsers will stop supporting plaintext connections, so the switch had to be made if only for that reason.

  10. I'll make a note on my calendar to look again in a year. As I said, it could spike up... or not. I don't see where the "reliable" part is, since people have been saying what you're saying since the beginning of this thread 4 years ago, and at the time it was considered already really cheap because it had just fallen 60-75%... To me that's more speculation than investment, hoping the volatility will go your way. I had forgotten about this, but got a notification from my calendar. One day left for that "fairly reliable double". From that date a year ago, the stock is down 88%.

  16. Sounds great, thank you for all the work that you do for this community!
  17. I'm open-minded to change. I'm also aware of potential pitfalls. Both things are no incompatible.
  18. This mostly happened to me with music forums, back in the day. Usually, they went from an old-school but super functional and fast boards to more "modern" but really slow and with lots of white space and low information-density things that were made to look good on a static mockup but not be clicked around on 100 times a day, and then died..
  19. Thanks! Online communities are pretty fragile, so I'd just encourage caution in the changes made to the format. I've seen it over and over again in my time on the internet over these past 25 years. There's a big change, almost everything is different, maybe it looks better but for some unforeseen reasons doesn't work as well or is too slow or there's some new UX annoyance, and there's a massive exodus or usage drops significantly and it's a spiral (fewer people contribute, so fewer people come to read, so fewer new people join, and so on). Happened to Digg, once one of the most popular sites on the internet, after a redesign that users didn't like. Not saying anything is going to happen, but your mention of the total redesign has brought back these memories, so I thought I'd mention it so it's on the radar.
