  4. That seems to be it. His account was last active on this forum in early December, and his last twitter post was in early November. Not sure what happened, but I hope he's all right.
  5. That's a good question. I appreciate tombgrt's contribution to this forum too.
  6. It sucks, but it can happen even to the best of them. Amazon.com's frontpage was unavailable for 49 minutes (iirc) yesterday. Update: http://money.cnn.com/2013/01/31/technology/amazon-down/
  7. I think just adding (spinoff) or (special situation) in parenthesis at the end of the subject line on the existing board should make things pretty clear and user friendly.
  8. One of my favorite companies, I own a lot of it and plan to hold it for many years at minimum. Recent interviews with the CEO Fred Davidson about both EGD and IPT: http://classicvalueinvestors.com/i/2013/01/interview-with-fred-davidson-from-energold-drilling-and-impact-silver/

  13. Interesting to look at today's volume. At one point this afternoon it looks like a block of almost 200k shares was traded.
  14. Good post, colinwalt. More on this cognitive bias here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planning_fallacy

  16. "Bank of America posted the lowest score among four large U.S. banks in a report last month by the American Customer Satisfaction Index, and was the only large bank whose score had not matched or eclipsed pre-crisis levels. " Not good, but also an opportunity to improve.
  17. Maybe they're just looking at the short term? Rising rates would mean that the bonds they already hold would lose some value, though one they start rolling over into higher interest ones it'll be a positive.
  18. Gas flaring is such a colossal waste of non-renewable energy :(
  19. Certainly frustrating >:( Hopefully it won't have mattered in a couple of years, but it certainly is getting tiring to have delays and problems with seemingly everything except Dresden...
  20. How would it work for those who hold tARP warrants, though?
  21. Thanks for posting! Always good to see Warren :)
